Fourth Pizza Shop Opens on Mile-Long Stretch of Babcock Boulevard in Ross Township
La Felice Pizzeria opened its doors a week ago.
Maybe Ross Township should consider renaming a short stretch of Babcock Boulevard the Pizza Parkway.
There are now four pizza restaurants in a one-mile stretch of Babcock between the intersections of Siebert and Three Degree Roads.
La Felice Pizzeria, at 3324 Babcock Boulevard, is the latest to open. The name means "the happy" in Italian, according to owner Georgy Kochetkoz.
"Everything is homemade, dough, sauces, salad dressings," he said. "So far there seems to be a lot of buzz, everybody likes it," added landlord Chris Bauer.
Kochetkoz was born and raised in Russia, and arrived in the United States two years ago, learning the pizza trade from his brother, who operates Pizza Palermo in Robinson.
Bauer said La Felice Pizzeria's menu is unique to the area.
"When you look at their menu, you see see some kinds of pizza you wouldn't normally see," she said. Some of the seafood pizzas are unique. And they have a toppings most shops don't offer."
There is also an appetizer, which is getting a lot of attention -- something called a fried meat calzone.
"Sooooo good," said Bauer.
As for entering an already crowded pizza field, Kochetkoz said he's not worried.
"We have the best food, the best cooks, the best ovens," he said. "We'll be fine."'

Really good food. The staff is very friendly. I actually tried the fried meat calzone that this article talks about. It's a large size appetizer, which is very good and filling. Could be a meal by itself. I think it was around $4. I would suggest everyone in the neighborhood try this place at least once

Pizza was very salty and had air pockets. Some of the employees may be illegal aliens, dept of homeland security should pay them a visit.
