North Hills 'Cabaret Night' to Raise Money for Choirs' Cedar Point Trip
The North Hills Senior High School Choirs will perform solos, duets and small group shows in the senior high cafeteria April 20. The cafeteria will become a sort of coffee house with an “open mic” night feel to it.
The North Hills Senior High School Choirs, in collaboration with the Choral Parent Association, will present a Cabaret Night Friday, April 20, 2012.
The event begins at 7 p.m. in the senior high cafeteria.
Student performances include solos, duets and small groups, as well as the North Hills Singers, featuring a wide variety of music from pop songs to jazz standards, Broadway hits and more. The cafeteria will become a sort of coffee house with an “open mic” night feel to it.
A $5 at-the-door admission includes a refreshment ticket for a dessert and drink to enjoy while watching the performers.
All monies raised will go toward the Symphonic Choir and North Hills Singers trip to perform at the Music in the Parks Festival at Cedar Point in mid-May.
“The Cabaret Night will provide our choir students the chance to showcase their talents using music they selected and prepared themselves,” said Shaun Cloonan, North Hills choral director.
“Our traditional concerts focus on large group selections, harmonies, and musical styles; where this event will feature solos, and smaller groups in a more relaxed setting. It should be a fun night for all.”
