North Park Lounge owner Mark Baranowski hopes to begin renovations on the former Sunseri's restaurant at 3385 Babcock Boulevard by the end of the month.

Baranowski plans to tear down the entire right half of the existing structure and rebuild at the same height as the left half of the building, in order to stay above the flood plane.

The restaurant, which will be called Rum Runners Saloon, will have a menu similar to the original North Park Lounge, featuring a wide variety of sandwiches, some entrees, and plenty of appetizers and munchies.

It will also feature entertainment, similar to its predecessor, Jergel's.
