Dunkin Donuts!

Great idea. We don't have any doughnut shop at all on McKnight Road. Before I moved, I always pined for the old Mister Donut. (Apparently the Donut Connection shop in Hampton still makes Mister Donut donuts).

I wish! A buddy from home told me he thought one would be nice to have at the old Showcase Cinemas site once they build the new cinema and hopefully knock the old eyesore out!

Giant Eagle Express! They are fantastic time savers while getting the same quality products in a full service grocery.

they are putting a getgo on Browns lane

I honestly don't think we need any more Giant Eagle properties along this stretch. I am all for a second Get Go for safety reasons I have described before, but if we put another convenience store in, it should be something other than Giant Eagle, which is quickly monopolizing McKnight Road.

I don't think there is enough room for Cold Stone parking? Island coffee is right up the street!

Cold Stone typically seems to go into shopping centers, and they generally pick rather nice ones. I always thought it would be a good fit for McIntyre Square. If we put another coffee place in, it should go on the northbound side since Island Bean is on the southbound.

Not a bad choice, but would the property be big enough for a carhop restaurant? I vote to add it to the southern end of McKnight, perhaps where the mostly abandoned Ross Township Junction plaza sits. The location would be perfect--three hotels, I-279, traffic coming from downtown--and would perhaps start a revitalization of that area.

McKnight Rd should have more name brand restaurants, It is becoming a ghost rd unstead of McKnight rd. Put some top end restaurants in the northway mall. Did anyone ever look at rt 288 in Wexford lots of nice places to dine.

I made a mistake its Rt 228 not 288 (sorry) And I agree with Bill. Look at that old car dealership on McKnight Rd. down from the ross park mall Its a real eye sore. Cant somebody do something with that such as a nice restraunt lots of parking there.

I think the North Hills is one of the only areas I've visited without a Steak n Shake. I'm not sure how well Don Pablo's is doing as a company right now since most of the ones I know of are closed, at least the ones I was familiar with in PA and Ohio. I have yet to see one in Charlotte. On the Border wouldn't be a bad choice though, or perhaps a place like Moe's or Salsarita's.

Gotta agree with James...take a look at any if the restaurants on McKnight at dinner time.. they are packed with long wait times. There is a demand but no one is leading the charge to bring business to McKnight Rd.

Bojangles would be my choice. They don't seem to exist north of the Mason-Dixon line at this point. Why not choose the North Hills as the place to get this staple of southern fast food noticed up north? (If you're ever in Charlotte, these restaurants are everywhere and are highly recommended by this transplanted North Hills guy).

Hi Scott, I must admit I never heard of Bojangles but I sure welcome any new restaurants. McKnight Rd. just looks empty to me.

Bojangles is a fried chicken and biscuit restaurant and is very common in the south. It's somewhat like KFC in the fact it's fast food but has a taste and personality all of its own, whether it be the trademark seasonings or the fact they have sporks. I agree--McKnight is becoming quite empty, especially in the restaurant department!

Hey Scott, do you or anyone else know why nobody has put a decent restaurateur at Mt Nebo. Its where Sams and Target stores are?
