West View Halloween Parade Set for Monday, Oct. 29

The annual parade attracts zombies, cheerleaders, princesses, ninjas, and usually at least one Elvis.

West View's annual Halloween parade is set for 7 p.m., Monday, Oct 29, rain or shine.

Last year, nearly 1,000 people turned out for the event, 700 to 800 in costume.

The parade line forms at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Highland Avenue and Perry Highway. The parade will progress down PerryHighway to Center Avenue where participants with numbers will receive their free goodie bag.

To sign up for a free number, go to the West View borough building on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 from 5-7 p.m.

You will need a registration number to receive a goodie bag and to be eligible to win a costume prize.
