Updated Forecast: Winter Weather Advisory: Up to 4 Inches of Snow Possible in Ross & West View

The national weather service says the most intense snow will be Friday afternoon and evening.

 

The national weather service in Pittsburgh has issued a winter weather advisory for most of western Pennsylvania, including Allegheny County, from 10 a.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday.

Forecasters say 2-4 inches of snow is possible.

Here is a more detailed look at the forecast.

  • Friday: Snow, mainly after noon. High near 21. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Tonight: Snow showers likely, mainly before 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 16. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Saturday:A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 25. West wind 6 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

On wednesday the weather people said maybe 1 inch of snow now its 4 two 6 inches of snow I will believe it when I see it. The only job you can be wrong at 90 percent of the time and not get fired.

It's predictions like this that do send people to GE on a shopping frenzy. I will believe it when I see it. I also like how they're calling for it around rush hour. Now people will be leaving early to beat the storm. And we all know there are a ton of people that can't drive in the snow. I have a 4x4 so I will go around people and pretty much invincible in the snow. I drive the speed limit and I'm fine.

On Weds they said 1 inch of snow, on Thursday they said 2 two 4 inches of snow, now they are back two 1 inch of snow. This is how I check the weather I look outside.The only thing they get right is the Temp, and that's all.
