Winter Weather Advisory: National Weather Service Updates Predicted Snow Totals

The snow is expected to taper by late Saturday.

 

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a winter weather advisory for a wide portion of western Pennsylvania until 3 p.m. Saturday.

The storm is expected to drop 3 to 5 inches of snow by the end of the day Saturday.

Here is the latest forecast:

  • Saturday: Snow, mainly before 3pm. High near 32. Southeast wind 6 to 13 mph becoming west in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Saturday Night: TonightA chance of snow showers, mainly after 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind 13 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. 
  • Sunday: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 29. West wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
