On November 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30 pm, students of the North Hills Drama Club will perform the original play And I Feel Fine: What May Be a Comedy About What May Be the End of the World in the Senior High Auditorium.
by Patrice Bailey, senior
The North Hills Senior High School Drama Club is taking quite a different approach to its annual fall play this year. Not only is it extremely modern (it actually takes place on Dec. 21, 2012) and a comedy, but it’s also an original!
Written by two North Hills graduates, Rob Speer and Kevin Richey, And I Feel Fine discusses the prophecies of the ancient Mayans in a way that satirizes large corporations. The play is set in a “Large Mart” over the course of one workday. While preparing for the holidays, workers begin to place their attention on the soon-to-be apocalypse and everything spirals out of control.
Filled with countless laughs, And I Feel Fine is a production that everyone will enjoy. Will the Mayan prediction come true and leave these employees struggling for survival? You’ll have to see it to find out.
Note: there will be a matinee Saturday afternoon @ 1:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students & senior citizens.
