Memorial Day 2013: Events, What's Open, What's Closed in Ross and West View
Here's some useful information on what you can and cannot do on the upcoming holiday
Memorial Day Events
Memorial Day will begin in West View, as it has for many years, with the annual Memorial Day Parade.
It is hosted by the The parade steps off at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Perry highway, and ends with a memorial service at the VFW Post, at 386 Perry Highway.
Also, the Sgt. Joseph D. Caskey American Legion Post 80 will host a memorial service, beginning at Noon, at the Veteran's memorial located at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 9th Street in Laurel Gardens.

Memorial Day Closings
Ross Township offices and the Ross Municipal Center will be closed Monday, as well Northland Public Library .
State offices, state liquor stores, and Pennsylvania drivers' license and photo centers will be closed.

Allegheny county offices and courts will be closed, along with federal offices and courthouses.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County on Monday will operate all bus, light-rail and incline service on a holiday schedule during Memorial Day.
