Traffic Delays on Babcock Boulevard at McKnight Road Underpass Expected

Single lane restrictions are expected to last through Dec. 15.

Well, the work is almost done. 

Traffic on Babcock Boulevard traveling under the McKnight Road overpass will have to alternate at the discretion of the flag crew between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily as work continues on the overhead bridge, according to PennDOT. 

The restrictions are expected to last through Dec. 15.

, just before the holiday shopping season started, although off-peak short-term traffic delays may still occur from Nelson Run Road to Perrymont Road through early 2012. 

The $8.8 million, 4.6 mile project has been on-going since June. The prime contractor is Lindy Paving, Inc. of New Castle, PA.
