Crowd at Jackie Evancho's Russian Performance Estimated at 100,000-Plus

Jackie performed with Russia's Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Korea's Sumi Jo.

last week, she looked out on a crowd of 100,000-plus, according to a press release from PR Newswire.

"Jackie Evancho performed a very special concert to an audience of government officials and more than 100,000 members of the public at the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia's Palace Square on June 20," the press release states, citing Syco/Columbia Records as the source of the information.

The Richland Township soprano performed with opera stars Dmitri Hvorostovsky of Russia and Sumi Jo of Korea.

"Jackie performed both classical and crossover songs, including 'O Mio Babbino Caro,' 'The Prayer' and 'Con te Partiro (Time to Say Goodbye)' as a duet with Sumi Jo," the release stated.

Jackie's fans on the Music of Jackie Evancho group on Facebook chatted during the live stream performance and have posted photos and video on their site.

she tweeted that she is "off for a while to take a break and enjoy the summer before beginning promo of my new album, PBS special and tour."
