Jackie Evancho to Sing for Japanese Royal Family

The soprano tweets the big news.

Richland songbird Jackie Evancho has been invited to sing for Japan's royal family, according to her Twitter account.

"Got invite to sing for emperor and empress, prince and princess and royal family in Japan. Tremendous honor. So excited," she tweeted Wednesday.

That tweet was followed by another that announced she was "just chillaxin on drive to airport."

The 11-year-old classical crossover singer is heading back to Japan for two concerts at Orchard Hall in Tokyo, her Facebook page notes.

She will perform with the Yomiuri Nippon Philharmonic Orchestra on Jan. 11 and with the Tokyo Philharmonic on Jan. 13.

Jackie is a beautiful child. What a talent?!! I love how she dresses age appropriate for her age.

"I love how she dresses age appropriate for her age."...However, if she wants to make some real money she needs to get some fashion tips from someone like Brittany Spears. I doubt if gigs with the Yomiuri Nippon Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic translate into big paydays.
