North Hills Vocal Ensemble Awarded Top Rankings

The ensembles are directed by NHSD Choral Director Shaun Cloonan

North Hills High School vocal ensembles were awarded top rankings at the Kings Island Music in the Parks Festival near Cincinnati, Ohio.

The North Hills Women’s Choir, North Hills Symphonic Choir and North Hills Singers earned first-place awards with Superior rankings.

The North Hills Singers earned a Best Overall Ensemble Award in the mixed high school choir category, and senior Ese Omabele received an Outstanding Female Solo medal for her performance in the Symphonic Choir’s selection “Praise His Holy Name.”

A total of 64 North Hills students participated in the festival held at Kings High School in Mason, Ohio, next to Kings Island Amusement Park. Judges for the festival were noted college vocal music professors Dr. Randall Wolfe and Kristina Ploeger.
