“There are a lot of upset customers,” Walney said. “Now there will not be a Lincoln new car dealership in the North Hills.”

Russell Demor, co-owner of the dealership, did not want to comment on the reasons behind Ford’s decision, but did say he and his partner, James Belmondo, were doing everything they could to find jobs for the dealership’s 30 employees.

A sign posted on the dealership’s windows announces the closing and thanks customers for their loyalty.

The sign goes on to say that since opening in 1970, the dealership sold over 25,000 new and used vehicles to “families and friends who have trusted and supported us for decades.”
