Microsoft Store to Open at Ross Park Mall

Microsoft is opening 30 new holiday stores throughout the country and one will be in our own backyard.  North Hills and West View residents will see a Microsoft store open at Ross Park Mall this fall reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  The mall is already home to an Apple store, Microsoft's competitor.

The new store will carry the Redmond, WA-based company's line of products. And, according to PCMag.com, the stores are part of Microsoft's plan to meet demand for the new Windows 8-enabled devices. 

"The holiday stores continue to offer customers the opportunity to learn new technology skills and get the most out of their Microsoft-enabled devices," Microsoft said in a statement, according to PCMag.com.

Currently, the Microsoft website lists 23 store locations throughout the US.

The new holiday store locations include:

• Cherry Creek Shopping Center – Denver, Co.
• Dadeland Mall  – Miami, Fla.
• Eaton Centre – Toronto, Ontario
• Fashion Mall at Keystone – Indianapolis, Ind.
• Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, Nev.
• Glendale Galleria – Glendale, Calif.
• Mall at Green Hills – Nashville, Tenn.
• Mall in Columbia – Columbia, Md.
• Metropolis at Metrotown – Burnaby, B.C.
• Montgomery Mall – Bethesda, Md.
• Natick Collection – Natick, Maine
• North Star Mall – San Antonio, Texas
• Oakridge Centre – Vancouver, B.C.
• Penn Square Mall – Oklahoma City, Okla.
• Perimeter Mall – Atlanta, Ga.
• Roosevelt Field Mall – Garden, City, N.Y.
• Ross Park Mall – Pittsburgh, Pa.
