North Hills Business Owners -- Have You Claimed Your Listing on North Hills Patch?

There's no cost to take advantage of the perks we offer with our free listings for businesses and institutions, so why not click that 'Claim it!' button today? Here's how it works.

Do you own a business in the North Hills area?

You might already know that North Hills Patch has a comprehensive directory with listings for the businesses in town, but you might not know that you can take control of your listing—for free.

That’s right—we want you to claim your listing and make it your own.

Business owners who claim their listings can add additional details and post new photos. You can also update some of the existing information on your page.

For example, if your hours have changed or you’ve expanded the services you offer, you can change it right away if you’ve claimed your listing.

And once you have a Patch account, you can also post events, announcements and classifieds. You can also use your account to signup for the free North Hills Patch e-mail newsletter and blog.

Just watch the 1-minute video above to see how easy it is.

To claim your listing, click the "Directory" tab, and find your business. Once you're on your listing, look for the “Claim it!” link under the photos.

If there aren't any photos, the link will be near the top of the right side of the listing.

We’ll ask you for your name, your role at the company, a phone number and whether you’re authorized to represent the organization on Patch—we want to make sure that only owners or someone they authorize are in charge of updating the listing.

If your business is missing from the directory or if you have any questions, email Editor Richard Cook at richinpgh@gmail.com

Here are the tools you'll see and what they mean:

Your Stats:

Here you can see how many users have rated, reviewed or follow your listing. You can e-mail your customers to seek out more reviews and link the Patch Place to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Edit Listing:

Add photos, website information, hours of operation, contact information and more under the Basic Info tab. Some of this information cannot be changed, but you can request a new description if you think your business is inaccurately described.

Choose "Extra Info" to add information such as the founding date of your business, what kinds of payments you accept, parking information and more.

Manage Photos & Media:

Here you can add and edit photos and choose which image is featured. If you have a video or PDFs, you would add that here.

Reviews:

You can see what people have to say about your business and respond to reviews.

Free Tools:

This is an easy way to post events and add job openings to our classifieds.

Paid Tools:

You can upgrade your listing with a video profile, add a message from the owner and become a featured business on the Places page for a fee. You can learn more about these options and see how to get in touch with a sales team member.
