Alice Harvey, Longtime North Hills School Director

Alice "Bim" F. (Foster) Harvey 1931-2013

Alice "Bim" Harvey, 82, the longest serving member of the North Hills School Board, died peacefully Monday, Oct. 7.

Harvey was also a member of Beatty Tech School Board and Teutonia Mannerchor as well as past president of 66 Card Club.

She was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Virginia D. Foster; and beloved wife of the late William J. Harvey, M.D.

She was the mother of Bill, Sandy, Lynn and Matt (Denise) Harvey and Rhonda Mindish; sister of Edward Foster and Ginny Wolf; also survived by eight grandchildren. Harvey was a graduate of St. John's Hospital School of Nursing.

Family will welcome friends from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME INC., 388 Center Ave., West View, PA 15229.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Athanasius Church. Interment in Allegheny County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Celtic Hospice, 150 Scharberry Lane, Mars, PA 16046.
