“For a lot of people in the business, she was a really great mentor,” longtime friend and co-worker Patrick Mangus told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “There was nothing frivolous about Daryl.”

Her sister, Denise Davis, told the Trib tht Clemmens was an inspiring older sister who mentored her and often acted as a cheerleader for family members.

“She was very engaged in whatever she did,” Davis said. “Daryl was my cheerleader, she was my friend, she was my confidante.”
