Wood was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Wilbert P. Wood, 65, of the North Side, died Sunday, July 24, 2011.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 27, 1946, he is the son of the late Donald M., Sr. and Eleanor (Rossmiller) Wood.
He is also the brother of Donald M. (Gwen) Wood, Jr. of Shaler, Richard E. (Mai) Wood of Hopewell and Norbert M. Wood of California; uncle of Donald Wood III, Bradley J. (Sarah) Wood, Kym Wood and Jennifer (Michael) Turk; great-uncle of Braden Grey Wood, Laurel May Wood, Jazmyne Boyd and Jayde Boyd.

The family will welcome friends 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the , 388 Center Ave., West View. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Allegheny County Memorial Park, 1600 Duncan Ave., Allison Park, PA. Please meet at the cemetery.
