RAVENSTAHL ENDORSED BY LOCAL LEADERS

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 5 –State Rep. Adam Ravenstahl, D-Allegheny was endorsed today by local legislative leaders in the Pittsburgh region for his bid to seek re-election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.  Those supporting Ravenstahl’s bid for another term include the following Allegheny County legislators:

                Rep. Frank Dermody – Democratic Leader

                Rep. Joe Markosek – Democratic Appropriations Chairman

                Rep. Dan Frankel – Democratic Caucus Chairman

                Rep. Dan Deasy – Represents Avalon Borough

                Rep. Rob Matzie – Represents Bellevue Borough and Ross Township communities

                Rep. Jake Wheatley – Represents Northview Heights

                Rep. Dom Costa – Represents parts of Ross Township and neighboring communities

“I am honored to have the support of my colleagues in Harrisburg,” Ravenstahl said.  “The wide support from Allegheny County leadership illustrates my willingness and ability to work well with others.”

Ravenstahl is pleased to have the backing of the Allegheny County legislators who have been elected as members of the Democratic Leadership team. 

“Adam Ravenstahl has been an exemplary member of the Democratic Caucus since joining the legislature in 2010,” said Leader Frank Dermody.  “His work ethic and ability to bring a new perspective have been great additions to Harrisburg.”

Ravenstahl is particularly pleased to have the support of legislators who currently represent areas that will soon become part of the 20th District.  The communities of Avalon, Bellevue, Northview Heights and additional parts of Ross Township will be added to the area that Ravenstahl currently represents.  The 20th District also includes portions of Lawrenceville, Polish Hill, the Strip District, parts of the North Side and West View. 

“Adam comes to work every single day with the goal of making his district and the region a better place to live,” said Rep. Rob Matzie, who sits directly beside Ravenstahl on the House floor.  “He is a very intelligent and hardworking legislator and I am happy to support his candidacy.”
