Though the gunman's motive remains unclear, some pieces of the timeline, emergency response, and ongoing investigation into Friday's horrifying shooting came into focus Saturday.

As grieving families begin the heartbreaking task of making funeral arrangements for the victims in Newtown, Connecticut, police are analyzing evidence and conducting extensive interviews, in hopes of determining the gunman's possible motive.
