DUI Checkpoints for Memorial Day Weekend

Pittsburgh police will conduct DUI and sobriety checkpoints Memorial Day weekend.

Pittsburgh police will conduct sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols this Memorial Day weekend.

The patrols will be in place between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. throughout the South Hills and West End sections of the City of Pittsburgh.

In addition, Castle Shannon Police Department, as part of the DUI Task Force, will begin a summer-long intensive DUI enforcement on Memorial Day weekend. Municipal and state police will increase sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols throughout the state.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police participates in PennDOT’s Western Alliance/Team DUI program, which consists of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Pennsylvania State Police and numerous local departments that conduct sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols across Western Pennsylvania.
