Suspects in Ross Burglaries Going on Trial in String of Break-Ins in Other Communities

A pair of Pittsburgh men, identified by police as suspects in a string of break-ins in several northern suburbs last year, will stand trial for burglaries committed in Pine and McCandless. 

Brian Flesher, 26, and Garrett Lucas, 24, were ordered held for court Wednesday after both waived their right to preliminary hearings before Magisterial District Judge William Wagner.

Both men were charged last week in three burglaries in Ross Township.

Flesher faces multiple counts of burglary, theft and other offenses stemming from burglaries at homes and at least one business in Pine Township, McCandless, Franklin Park, Ohio and Moon townships, according to police and court documents.

According to a criminal complaint, Flesher in December told police he kicked in doors—sometimes using Lucas as a lookout— to steal valuables found inside and pawn them for cash to support his drug addiction.

Wagner on Wednesday held Flesher for trial on three counts of burglary and one count each of attempted burglary and conspiracy. Lucas was held for trial on one count each of burglary and conspiracy in a McCandless case.

Both men face additional hearings. They remain in the Allegheny County Jail, unable to post bond.
