Kmart Donates Stolen Toys to Toys for Tots in Time for Christmas

A large collection of small toys from about 90 KmartsWalmarts and Toys "R" Us stores was later found in a rented Enterprise van in the parking lot. , police said.

Police estimated the total value of the retail thefts at between $20,000 and $50,000. 

Dimaio is charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy, and organized retail theft, .

Warner, who faces the same charges, has also waived her right to a preliminary hearing and will stand trial. 

"Our police department is certainly appreciative that Kmart has taken the initiative to allow something good to come from this incident," Dripps said in an emailed press release. 

Anyone wishing to donate toys to the Toys for Tots organization may do so today at the Kmart parking lot. U.S. Marines will stay on scene as long as people continue to arrive with donations, Dripps said.
