Man Dragged By Car Along McKnight Road

Police investigating initial report of a road rage incident.

An unidentified man is in the hospital after falling from a car that was dragging him along McKnight Road late Wednesday afternoon. A call was made to 911 at 5:41 p.m.

"I looked out the window and saw a person hanging onto the side of a vehicle going down McKnight Road," said a clerk at the store, 7203 McKnight Road.

The clerk did not want to be identified.

"I watched it and I saw him fall off the vehicle and I called 911. I went to see if he was okay, and he was having some problems and I basically just stayed with him until the police and paramedics arrived,” he said.

are investigating initial reports the man, after some sort of confrontation, had been dragged from the intersection of McKnight Road and Patrick Place, which is at the bottom of one of the entrances to .

“He was very banged up. Surprised to see something like that on McKnight Road," the clerk said. "He was bleeding from his mouth, and he had a head injury and he was banged up, he was scuffed up, you know his arms and his legs.” 

The clerk said the car dragging the man appeared to be a grey or black Pontiac Aztec.

No word on the victim's name or condition. The clerk believed the victim to be in his mid to late 20s and said he was conscious when the paramedics arrived.
