Ross Police to Announce Arrest Warrant Issued for Man Who Attacked Two Women

The suspect was not in custody and police did not know where he is as of 2:30 p.m., Ross Police spokesman Sgt. Benjamin Dripps said.

have scheduled a 5 p.m. press conference to announce that an arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the two recent sexual assaults of women in Ross.

As of 3:40 p.m., an arrest warrant had not been filed with Magisterial District Court 05-2-02.

The press conference will be held downtown at Allegheny County's Office of the Medical Examiner, Dripps said.

The two assaults, one which occurred Saturday, Jan. 7, and the other Monday, Jan. 9, . Both occurred in the early morning hours after the women returned from walking their dogs.

, both Ross Township and West View police placed extra patrols in the area's more than two dozen apartment complexes as they searched for the man behind the attacks.
