Ross Police Warn of Burglaries near Thompson Run Road

There have been four break-ins at homes along the Thompson Run Road corridor bordering Shaler Township, police report.

The  has released details about four burglaries that took place within the past two weeks along the Thompson Run Road corridor near Shaler Township.

The Shaler Police Department investigated a burglary on March 9 close to the Ross line. Police said the burglars broke a rear door glass to gain entry to the house.

Shaler police investigated a burglary March 12 close to the Ross line on Pictwood Drive. A rear window was broken for entry.

Also on March 12, Ross police investigated a burglary on Goldsmith Road. Entry was made through a broken rear window.

The McCandless Police Department investigated a burglary on Friday close to on Old Kummer Road. Entry was made through an unlocked rear door.

In one burglary a red Chevrolet S-10 pickup-style truck was seen in the area.

The department is requesting all residents, especially in the Ross/Shaler boarder areas, to be vigilant.

Police are asking people to call 911 immediately if anything suspicious is observed and to secure property and look out for neighbors.
