Ross Township Police Blotter: July 26 - August 1, 2011

The following information was supplied by the Ross Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, August 1

A business, unidentified in the police report, on Perrysville Avenue reported that multiple eggs were thrown at the business between 4:15 p.m. Friday and 8:13 a.m. Monday.

A 40-year-old man reported a burglary, non-forced, at a residence along Babcock Boulevard at 11:05 a.m. Furniture was found missing.

Sunday, July 31

A 19-year-old woman reported criminal mischief to her vehicle in the area of Browns Lane between 10 p.m. Saturday and 11:34 a.m. Sunday.

A 53-year-old man reported that his daughter’s car had been damaged between 8 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday in the area of Bascom Avenue.

A 42-year-old man reported his truck was vandalized on Bascom Avenue between 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 and 8 a.m. Thursday, July 21. He told police syrup was placed all over his truck and paper napkins placed on top of the syrup.

A 22-year-old woman reported a burglary at a residence along Kenyon Court between 8 p.m. Thursday and 2:50 p.m. Sunday. Property missing included a nightstand, an IKEA lamp, a free-standing mirror, an 8-pound dumbell, a Budweiser can, dishwasher detergent, leather jacket, DKNY winter jacket, peacoat jacket and a hair brush.

Friday, July 29

A 16-year-old boy was assaulted in a fight near the 100 block of Russell Drive at 11:25 p.m.

Tuesday, July 26

A 28-year-old woman reported her wallet was taken from her purse inside Dicks Sporting Goods in the Northway Mall on McKnight Road at 5:35 p.m.

A 79-year-old woman reported she sent $3,442 to a woman who called and said she was the lawyer for her grandson was in jail in Mexico City and the money was needed for bail. The victim later called her grandson and discovered he was not in Mexico City.

A 41-year-old male reported a GPS and iPod was discovered missing from his vehicle parked along Ridgewood Road sometime between 4 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday.
