Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. announced Monday that Angeline Costa-Gifford, sister of North Hills state rep. Dominic Costa, has been charged with several counts of theft and forgery in connection with the transfer of properties involving the Costa family.
Costa-Gifford, 56, of Jefferson Hills, surrendered to authorities Monday morning and is awaiting arraignment. Her preliminary hearing had not been scheduled.
Costa-Gifford illegally transferred shares of several family-owned properties by forging the signatures of her sister, Debra Costa, and brothers Dominic and Richard Costa, according to the criminal complaint.
She faces 12 counts of theft and 12 counts of forgery.
