Suspects in Ross Bank Robbery and Chase Indicted on Federal Charges

If convicted, the pair could face up to 25 years in prison and fines of $250,000.

U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton announced Tuesday the indictment of two men on charges of robbing a Ross Township bank and leading police on a high-speed chase through several northern North Hills suburbs.

Regan Pierre, 20, of New Castle and Mario Robinson, 24, of New Kensington are charged with the armed robbery of the Fidelity Bank at 1009 Perry Highway on Oct. 17.

Bank employees called 911 shortly after 4 p.m. to report the robbery. Ross Police Detectives were in the area with a prisoner on an unrelated call and spotted a black Honda coupe fleeing the scene, Detective Brian Kohlhepp said.

The detectives followed the car, which sped west on Rochester Road while passing other cars on the yellow centerline. An Ohio Township police officer next spotted the Honda on Mt. Nebo Road. Kohlhepp said the Honda sped north on Interstate 79, then struck a guide rail on the Mingo Road overpass just north of the Wexford interchange.

The two men bailed out of the getaway vehicle and ran, but were arrested a short time later.

In addition to the bank robbery charges, Robinson is also charged with illegally possessing a handgun. Because of a prior conviction for a felony offense, Robinson is prohibited under federal law from possessing a firearm.

Both men face up to 25 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 if convicted.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Ross Township Police Department, West View Police Department, North Regional Police Department and Ohio Township Police Department conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case, said a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Are they brothers? They look like twins.

Interesting enough, if they do get 25 years, they'll miss out the good things in life. The one who is 20, won't legally be allow to go into bars and clubs until he is 45! That's crazy. And does anyone else notice that more crime is morning into the North? There's been like a bank robbery (or two) in rencent months. Are times getting that tough? Who really voted Obama back in?

So now it's Obama's fault that two yahoos robbed a bank? I guess it will be his fault tonight when I don't win that powerball money.

Marianna, haven't you heard? Everything that goes wrong in this country is STILL George W. Bush's fault.
