This has happened at least one other time at the Sr. High. And then there are drug lock downs at the Jr. High. Hope situation doesn't escalate.

Stephanie, drug lock downs? Do you mean that they lock the school down and search lockers, etc. for drugs?

Everyone must stay in their classrooms while dogs and police are brought into the school to search lockers. It is a lock down while the search occurs- no one can leave the school. I was at the jr. high when a previous threatening note was found in a sr. high bathroom (after a weekend of makeup testing). In that case, students were evacuated to the jr. high. Multiple evacuations seem to be happening every year. A concern is that my oldest son will be in 7th grade next year. There seem to be a lot of fights and drug searches going on at the jr. high according to a friend who works there. I'm considering private schools. Also a lot of fights at the sr. high- don't know about drugs.

That's crazy! I went to North Hills (Jr. and Sr. High) and it was not like that then. My son is in elementary school but attends a private school - might keep him there if this does not turn around! Thanks for the detailed response!
