Election 2012: North Hills Results: Matzie, Ravenstahl Re-elected, English Defeats Tusick

English is the lone Republican to win election to the state House from the Ross/West View area.

In addition to selecting a President, a U.S. Senator, a member of Congress, a state auditor general, treasurer, and attorney general, Ross Township and West View voters also selected a legislator to represent them in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Ross Township and West View are carved up into four state legislative districts. Three of those seats were contested in Tuesday's election.

District 21

Democrat incumbent Dominic Costa, a former Pittsburgh Police chief, was unopposed on the ballot and was re-elected to the seat he has held since 2009.

Robert Matzie (D-Incumbent) of Ambridge defeated Kathleen Coder (R) of Bellevue.

District 20

Adam Ravenstahl (D-Incumbent) defeated James Barr (Constitution Party).

District 30

Republican Hal English defeated Demorat David Tusick.
