Ross Commissioners to Consider Another Mattress Store for McKnight

The proposed building will also house a new restaurant.

Ross Township Commissioners will vote Tuesday on plans to demolish the current building at 4840 McKnight Road, across from North Hills Village, and build a new, two-unit building which will house a restaurant and a Select-Comfort Mattress store.

The Ross Planning commission recommended approval of the plans in June.

If approved and built, Select-Comfort will be the 12th store selling mattresses along the stretch of McKnight from the Shoppes at Northway to the Babcock Boulevard intersection.

The proposed restaurant was described by a representative of Eden Court Capital as "Panera-like" with a drive-thru lane. Since the lease is still being negotiated, the name of the restaurant has not been revealed.

The current building is occupied by Basilone Executive Search and Basilone Technical Search.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the commissioners meeting room inside the Ross Community Center.
