If you live in or and are headed east toward Oakland or Monroeville, you will need to find a new way to get there.
As promised, PennDOT today shut down the southbound Interstate 579-Crosstown Boulevard to the outbound Boulevard of the Allies and Parkway East.
The ramp will be closed through late September for painting.
The quickest detour is to take I-279 to the Fort Duquense Bridge and then follow the signs to eastbound I-376.
