Northway Mall Owner Also Seeking Tenants for Former McCrackin Property on McKnight Road

Levey & Company own 38 acres of real estate in Ross Township, much of it along McKnight Road.

Before it purchased the Northway Mall in December, Akron based Levey & Company had another big piece of McKnight Road Real Estate to develop.

The company also purchased the site of the former McCrackin Ford dealership at 7209 McKnight Road for $5.2-million in March.

Added together, the McCrackin site, the Northway Mall, and the , amount to 38 acres, most of it along McKnight Road.

"We've talked to a lot of potential candidates about the McCrackin site," said Gary G. O'Nesti, special projects manager for Levey & Company. "It's a great location, I think the community will be very pleased with what ultimately develops there."

O'Nesti said finding tenants for all of its Ross locations is a simultaneous process.

"We have heard from potential tenants who have expressed an interest in both locations," he said. "Our job is to find out what works best for our tenants, and for the Ross community."

How about Walmart? Ross Twp foolishly chased them away.

Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. I hate driving to Wexford to get quality produce. No Wal-Mart please..we don't anymore trash running around the North Hills. I also think we could use some newer restaurants: Smokey Bones, UNO, Round Robin, some sort of steakhouse. I used to want a Chik-Fil-A, but since they've shown us they're biggots, nevermind it.

I agree with pghbill....Where's the Wal-Mart??? I think we have enough food stores on McKnight Road now!

I applaud the Ross Township Board of Commissioners for denying a Wal-Mart. Those stores are like a cancer to other surrounding businesses, neighborhoods and the workers they employ. Overall buisness tax revenue and surrounding property values would drop. Not to mention crime would go up. People need to look at the big picture instead of trying to save a couple cents.

How about a few more nicer/upscale restaurants. We are inundated with fast food and a few family style eateries, but would be nice to see a few restaurants or even a club for dancing of all ages.

Move the McKnight POST OFFICE up there / open up the metal guard rails along the side of the bldg to let traffic go over to the RED LIGHT for outbound etc and free up the Mcknight INTERSECTION where the Post Office is now and put a nice resturant in there. Just a Thought !!!!!

Now that is a good thought Richard.

haha someone said Walmart is a cancer? As is Giant Eagle. Do you think the CEO of giant eagle genuinely cares about any of his cashiers. They even expanded their automated checkout system and now cutting fuelperks after buying up as many privately owned gas stations. Give me a break. Giant Eagle is no better than Walmart. Its not a family business, its a $400 million private company with investors they don't have to disclose not some mom and pop shop.

DSW Shoe warehouse would be nice. I also agree that we need more restaurants in the North Hills.
