Sign up for Summer Reading Here!

All summer long, from now until September 4, babies, children, teens and adults too, can sign up for our Summer Reading Clubs!  Free programs every day and lots of incentives for reading!

Early Literacy programs for Birth through Age 2 are sponsored by the Neely Funeral Home.  Caregivers are given fun activities to complete with their little ones and then rewarded with early literacy prizes.

Children over the age of two who are not yet reading on their own can take part in our Read to Me Program.  Read 5 books with your child and they earn a Book Buck to purchase books and incentives in our store.

Children entering grades K-6, who are reading on their own can be a part of the Summer Reading Club, sponsored by Bock Funeral Home.  For every hour a student reads, they earn a Book Buck and can shop all summer long.

Teens entering grades 7 and up win an instant prize for every time they come to the Library and have read a book. For each book they read, they are entered into a weekly prize drawing for bigger prizes.

Adults can VOTE FOR READING and win gas cards and other prizes throughout the summer!

Programs include Family Concerts, a visit from the Undercliff Volunteer Fire Department, Pug Fest, Drama Club, Star Wars Trivia, Cooking and Booking, the Talking Yams Book Club, Hunger Games Night, and so much more!

Storytimes for little ones and other early literacy programs take place every day of the week and on Tuesday evenings and one Saturday a month, for working caregivers.

Come join us!

We hope to see you at the Shaler North Hills Library!
