A free senior citizen matinee will be held on Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. Admission is open to North Hills residents age 60 and older.  For reservations or more information about the matinee performance, contact Chelle Zimmerman, NHSD activities coordinator, at 412-318-1438 or zimmermanm@nhsd.net.

“We are pleased to offer a chance for senior citizens to come and see our final dress rehearsal before opening night,” said Shaun Cloonan, director and NHSD choral director.

The play follows The Brothers Grimm as they hit Broadway resulting in an uproarious show where favorite fairy tale characters like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and his beanstalk and The Witch meet and interact on their journeys.

“Into the Woods Jr.” showcases a medium-sized ensemble, and the sophisticated score has been adapted to make it easier, yet still challenging, for young performers.
