McIntyre Elementary First School Visited by Sunday Night Football Bus

Each student had a chance to see the bus that was loaded with football gear, technology, games and more.

The following information was provided by North Hills School District Communications Coordinator Amanda Hartle

McIntyre Elementary was the first school in the nation to receive a visit from the NBC Sunday Night Football bus on Sept. 20. The school was chosen for the special event due to kindergarten teacher Sonny Amato’s selection as Fan of the Week by NBC for the Sept. 22 Pittsburgh Steelers game.

Each student had a chance to see the bus that was loaded with football gear, technology, games and more. In addition, students were able to try on regulation-size National Football league helmets.

The Sunday Night Football bus will travel to 17,000 miles this year as it visits cities across the country for each week’s NFL Sunday night matchup.
