North Hills Administrator Wins Statewide Honor

Dr. Jeff Taylor was honored for his outstanding leadership and educational contributions.

North Hills School District Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Assessment and Special Programs Dr. Jeff Taylor recently was honored with the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (PASCD) President’s Award at the organization’s annual conference in Hershey.

Dr. Taylor was selected by the PASCD president for his outstanding leadership and educational contributions that advanced both the association and Pennsylvania schools through his utilization of technology.

“The mission of PASCD is educators impacting teaching and learning through leadership,” said PASCD President Mary Wolf. “Dr. Taylor has certainly embodied this mission through his numerous contributions to both our organization and educators across the commonwealth.”

Dr. Taylor’s contributions to PASCD over the past year included creating a new organization website with social networking features and creating a web-based, interactive membership database. In addition, he leads a committee of educators who are creating an online professional development course entitled the PASCD Online Curriculum Leadership Academy that will be available for administrators across the commonwealth. Dr. Taylor also serves as PASCD technology committee chair and a PASCD executive board member.

Dr. Taylor joined the North Hills administrative staff in 2006. He holds a doctorate in school leadership from the University of Pittsburgh and masters’ degrees in multimedia technology and school administration from Duquesne University.  A graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, he holds a bachelor of science in education. Dr. Taylor has recently served as an adjunct professor for Duquesne University and BethanyCollege.  He resides in Ross Township with his wife, Cyndi, and their daughter, Lindsay.
