North Hills Makes Changes to School Calendar

Among the changes, the last day of classes in June is now a half-day.

The following information was provided by North Hills School District Communications Coordinator Amanda Hartle

The North Hills School District 2013-14 calendar has been revised due to changes in testing schedules since its approval last year.

All North Hills School District students will attend classes on March 24. On March 31, parent conferences will be held for students in kindergarten to sixth grade, and there will be no classes for elementary students. However, students in grades seven to 12 will have a full day of instruction on March 31. Additionally, June 5, the final day of the 2013-14 school year, will be a half-day with early dismissal for all students, and no lunch will be served to students.

The revised schedule is:

  • March 24 – Full day of instruction for all students
  • March 31 – No school and parent conferences for grades kindergarten to six; Full day of instruction for grades seven to 12
  • June 5 – Final half-day of school with early dismissal for all students

  • High School – 10:30 a.m.
  • Middle School – 11:30 a.m.
  • Highcliff and West View Elementary Schools – 11:45 a.m.
  • McIntyre and Ross Elementary Schools – 12:30 p.m.

The North Hills School District Board of Education approved the revisions on Sept. 16.
