Setting Sail in a Cardboard Boat in North Hills Pool

Seven teams of students crafted their own boats to race across the high school pool.

North Hills Senior High students in James Cassandro’s Transportation Vehicle Design participated in the class’ annual cardboard boat race.

A total of seven teams of students crafted their own boats to race across the high school pool. The boat was required to travel four lengths of the pool carrying two students who paddled the vessel.

Each team’s boat exhibited a theme including the U.S. Marines, Jenny from the film “Forrest Gump” and Kirby from the video game “Kirby’s Dream Land.”
