Upcoming: North Hills School District Music Events

Several concerts and music festivals are coming up soon, mark your calendars!

The following is a rundown of musical events involving North Hills students between now and Thanksgiving.

  • North Hills High School Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will hold their first concert of the school year on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. in the North Hills Junior High Auditorium at 55 Rochester Road in Ross Township. Special guests The Allegheny Brass Band, a British-style brass band that plays only brass instruments, also will perform during this collaborative event. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
  • North Hills Junior High School will host the ninth annual Mucho Macho Music Festival on Nov. 6 welcoming more than 100 boys from nearly 20 area school districts. The festival brings together male singers in sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth-grades for a day of singing and music learning. An informal performance will be held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 6 in the North Hills Junior High School auditorium at 55 Rochester Road. Admission is free.
  • North Hills High School Marching Band will perform its 36th annual Marching Band Stadium Review at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the North Hills Junior High School auditorium at 55 Rochester Road in Ross Township. The stadium review features the pregame and halftime music from the 2012 football season performed in an indoor concertsetting. Admission is free and the community is welcome to attend. Attendees are asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy or book to benefit the Allegheny County Labor Council’s Labor of Love toy drive. 
  • North Hills High School Jazz Band will hold their winter concert on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in the North Hills Junior High Auditorium at 55 Rochester Road in Ross Township.  Special guests The ‘Burg Big Band also will perform during the collaborative event. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
