Ticket Deadline Approaching for North Hills Sports Hall of Fame Banquet
Time is running out to get tickets to the 2013 Sports Hall of Fame dinner.
Jack McCurry is honored to be included in the 2013 class to be inducted North Hills School District Sports Hall of Fame.
“I think any time you are recognized for achievements in a school district such as that and get in a group that is that elite is an honor,” McCurry, the third most winning football coach in WPIAL history, told the Pittsburgh-Tribune Review.
Jack McCurry, longtime North Hills football coach is one of five individuals selected for induction Sept. 5 into the district's hall of fame, which marks the 19th anniversary.Other 2013 inductees include Lulu (Troy) Braun, Class of 1977; Jenielle Hunt, Class of 2006; Andrew Richardson, class of 2001 and Morrow “Woody” Woodburn, community contributor.
Tickets to the annual dinner are $35 per person, and the deadline to register is Tuesday, Aug. 27.
The dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the Rico’s Restaurant in Ross Township. The class of 2013 also will be recognized at the home football game the following evening at Martorelli Stadium.
