North Hills Chapter of WBN Honors Allison Park's Mary Ann Novak

Mary Ann Novak, who volunteers with the WBN and North Way Christian Community Church, received the Service Woman of the Year award in May.

Mary Ann Novak, of Allison Park, was recently honored by Women's Business Network, Inc. (WBN) as Service Woman of the Year.

The Service Award was presented at the WBN Annual Dinner held May 3, 2012 at Lakeview Restaurant in Greensburg. 

Novak is a graduate of Community College of Allegheny County. She began her business career with McDonald's Corporation in their management program and held various positions within the company. She also held positions as a band manager and worked for a travel company.

Since 2006, Novak has been an independent distributor of Reliv, a global company, which focuses on advanced nutritional products and supplements. She strives to educate people on the necessity of nutritional supplementation for maintaining optimal health and vitality.

Novak donates her time to help her community grow through involvement in local organizations. She is a member of the WBN North Hills Chapter.  For the past four years, she has been the Growth Committee Chair, which establishes new areas for chapters and for the past two years she has been a member of the organization’s Executive Board. She is currently serving as the President of WBN.

For the past 25 years, Novak has been a member of North Way Christian Community Church, serving in a variety of roles from worship leader, mentor, and children's ministry to facilitating bible studies. She has also been a core group member of the Community Impact Group, a committee to inform the church on issues necessary and critical to the times, as well as a coordinator for the Presidential Prayer Team.
